Workshop One – Preparing to Plan in the NDIS in WA 8.30am – 11.30am
(times of the workshops have been made according to local people’s requests)
Preparing to Plan
Planning is a critical element of the NDIS in WA. Before you start the planning process, it can be helpful to prepare so you don’t miss important things that could be included in your plan. In this workshop, WAIS will explain (1) what the NDIS in WA planning process involves and (2) what you could think about beforehand to prepare for the planning process. Being prepared can help you feel more confident that the plan will better provide what it is that you or your loved one wants or needs.
Workshop Two – Understanding Self-Management in the NDIS in WA 12pm – 3pm
There are a range of ways you can manage your funding. You may choose to self-manage some or all of your plan. In this workshop WAIS will explain the different options available, in particular Self-Management. This will include the benefits of self-management, what is involved and what your responsibilities would be, especially if you are wanting to hire your own workers.
YOU CAN COME TO ONE OR BOTH WORKSHOPS
These workshops are being presented by WAiS (WA’s Individualised Services), Leanne Pearman and Su-Hsien Lee and have been supported by the Department of Communities.
