Under the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework, the State Government is responsible for establishing arrangements for the authorisation of regulated restrictive practices in NDIS services in WA. In WA, these arrangements are outlined in the Authorisation of Restrictive Practices in Funded Disability Services policy. The policy requires Implementing Providers to hold Quality Assurance panels to authorise the use of restrictive practices.
WAiS, in partnership with the WA Department of Communities, has established a register of independent Behaviour Support Practitioners for Implementing Providers to be able to source a Practitioner to sit on Quality Assurance panels.
Payments to Practitioners (from the register) for their time on a Quality Assurance panel will be made (in accordance with the NDIS Price Guide) through WAiS, and funded by the WA Department of Communities.
If you are an Implementing Provider and would like to access a Practitioner from the register, please complete the request form below, and email to ceo@waindividualisedservices.org.au .
